A "Slack Suffolk Sweep" in the National Junior Suffolk Show for Dylan Miller and Jordyn Leininger with their National Champion Ewe and National Champion ram during the North American International Livestock Expo. Slack Lambs won all three Slick Sheared Suffolk Ram Lamb classes and all five Slick Sheared Suffolk Ewe Lamb classes at the 2019 show.	The United Junior Suffolk Sheep Association has a special award for exhibitors from the same state who put together a flock during the show. This year, Junior Exhibitors from Indiana won that award with their Slick Sheared Slack Sheep. Congratulations to Mason, Dylan, Colton, and Jordyn!	Congratulations to the Overmeyer family on their Champion Southdown at the Keystone International Livestock Expo this fall and Champion Southdown at the Henry County Jackpot and Champion AOB at the Michigan Jackpot . This lamb was purchased in Formula for Champions 41 Sale. He is sired by Ghost Pepper, a ram owned by Obsession Show Stock.

Slack 8184 was also named the Champion Wether Dam and Grand Champion Dorset Ewe Overall in the 2019 National Junior Dorset Show.	Congratulations to Dylan Miller on his 1st place Suffolk February Ewe Lamb in the Junior Show at the North American International Livestock Expo! Slack 9161 was also named the Junior Champion Slick Sheared Ewe, The Grand Champion Slick Sheared Ewe and the Overall Grand Champion Ewe in the National Junior Suffolk Sheep Association Show.

"Takedown" sired another Champion! This time Macy Collier won Grand Champion Market Lamb at the Switzerland County Fair with a lamb bred by Friesens. Congratulations Macy and to the Friesens!	Mason Miller showed the Champion White Face Cross lamb and was 3rd overall Grand Market under judge Sam Mattingly at the Huntington County 4-H Fair. Congratulations Mason! Congratulations to Halle Smith on her Grand Champion Market Lamb which was also Champion Shropshire at the Fountain County 4-H Fair! Kenzie and Dylan stood Champion or Reserve Champion Suffolk Ewe at several shows this year with their Slack ewes. We are proud of their accomplishments and their hard work at the shows!	CONGRATULATIONS - Brylie Turner! She showed the Champion Hampshire Ewe and Supreme Champion Ewe in the Junior Show at San Antonio Stock Show. Congratulations to Kenzie Kimbrough on her Reserve Champion Suffolk Ewe at the State Fair of Texas last month! Kenzie selected Sadie at our 40th Formula for Champions sale.	The Reserve Senior Champion Shropshire Ewe was shown by Kennedy Algier at the 2018 Open Show during the 2018 NAILE. This ewe is straight Slack breeding. Great Job and Congratulations Kennedy!

Congratulations on winning the Suffolk Pair of Ewe Lambs Class at the North American in the Open Show, goes to Jordyn Leininger!	First place in the Slick Sheared March Ewe Lamb Class at the Open Suffolk Show during the NAILE was won by Jordyn Leininger. Congratulations!	Second in a tough class of Early Slick Sheared Yearling Suffolk Ewes in the Open Show went to Jordyn Leininger at the 2018 NAILE.

In the Junior Show at the NAILE, Kyle Schnackenberg took first place honors during the Late January Slick Sheared Ewe Class. Congratulations!	In the Dorset Advantage breed at the Junior Show during the NAILE, Kayleigh Verhaeghe placed first with this classy Yearling Ewe. Congratulations! At the 2018 NAILE Open Suffolk Show, Jordyn Leininger showed the 2nd place February Slick Sheared Ram Lamb, Good Job! Slack Suffolk Ewe Lambs won first in all four slack ewe lamb classes at the 2018 North American Junior Suffolk Show. They were shown by Kyle Schnackenberg and Jordyn Leininger. Congratulations!	In the Junior Market Lamb Show at the North American, Emma Slick showed the first place Heavy White Face Cross Wether, Congratulations to Emma!	In the Hampshire Breed at the NAILE Junior Show, Slick Sheared category, Jordyn Leininger showed this attractive ewe to 2nd place! Good Job!

Jordyn Leininger showed the Reserve Champion Slick Sheared Suffolk Senior Ewe at the 2018 NAILE. Great job!	Congratulations to Kennedy Algier on her Ohio State Fair Reserve Grand Champion Shropshire Ewe and National Shropshire Futurity Winner! She was also the first place early yearling ewe in the Shropshire Open Show at the 2018 NAILE. This ewe was a Mid West Stud Ram Sale entry bred by Slack Club Lambs.	The first place Early February Slick Sheared Suffolk Ewe Lamb was also the Reserve Junior Champion Ewe at the 2018 NAILE junior show. Congratulations Jordyn Leininger!


Congratulations to the Slutz family ( City Limits) on their success in both the Junior and Open Shropshire Shows during the 2018 NAILE! Their March ram “Kaboom” was named National Champion Ram in the Open Show after being named Champion Ram in the National Junior Show. Not to be out done, “Rockie” their yearling ewe that was Champion Ewe in the National Junior Show, was National Champion Ewe in the Open Show. Also, their March Ewe Lamb was named Res. National Champion Ewe. Entourage, their Slack Ram, sired these and several of the animals in the City Limits show string. Slack genetics sent them to the purple again.

In 1979 Tom initiated the first Formula for Champions Sale held in Warsaw, Indiana. Fifty breeding ewes and thirty-three market lambs were sold and two of them went on to become Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion at the North American International Livestock Expo in Louisville, KY and Champion on the rail. The sale grew and is now entering its 42nd year. The Formula for Champions Sale is the longest running club lamb sale in Indiana. Nine breeds are now sold in the FFC sale.
